Create the subscription form

Go to "Web" in the black left-hand menu and select "Subscription Form generator".

Click on the turquoise "Create new form" button on the right side.

Give the form a name and a description (optional) – these details are for internal use only and will only be visible within your Ungapped account.
Review the five tabs:
Content
- Title, optional introduction text, consent text, and button text.
Lists
- Specify which contact list(s) the subscriber should be added to once they confirm their email address and subscription.
- The list must already exist at this stage. If the list does not exist yet – save the form, create the contact list, and then return to this form.
Subscriber Fields
- Specify which contact information is requested, the order of the fields, and whether each field is required.
- You must always request the email address, and it must be a required field.
Design
Here you can design the form with:

- Width, background color, and margins of the form box.
- Font, color, and font size for title, text, and field labels.
- Image placement (above, left, or right).
- Appearance of text fields, such as background color and border.
- Button color, and whether the button should be left/center/right-aligned or full-width.
Settings

Specify which confirmation email should be automatically sent to the person subscribing to your newsletter.
- The confirmation email must already exist at this stage. If the confirmation email does not exist yet – save the form, create the email, and then return to this form.
- Note that the confirmation email MUST include a special confirmation button/link AND it must be sent live. (Create a contact list in your account containing only yourself, and send the confirmation email to that list.)

Specify which confirmation page on your website should be shown to the subscriber when they click the Subscribe button in the form.
- The confirmation page must already exist at this stage.
- (If you do not specify a confirmation page, a standard Ungapped page will be shown. You can change the text and appearance of this standard page under Account Settings. See here »)

OPTIONAL: Specify which welcome email the subscriber should receive AFTER confirming their email address and subscription.
- The welcome e-mail must already exist at this stage. If the welcome email does not exist yet – save the form, create the email, and then return to this form.
- Note that the welcome email MUST be sent live. (Send the welcome email to the same list as above.)

Specify two result pages – one displayed upon successful registration (a confirmation that the subscription was successful) and the other if the registration failed.

If you are collecting phone numbers in your subscription form, specify here which country code should be the default.
The form is now complete. Click on the turquoise "Save Form" button at the top right.
