You can upload an unlimited number of contacts to your account. A contact becomes subscription-based and active only when you communicate with them. An active contact is one that you engage with and who interacts with your mailings, surveys, or events. To qualify as an inactive contact, one of the following criteria must be met:
- Has unsubscribed from all of your subscriptions.
- The contact's e-mail address has bounced hard. (Read more about bounces here)
- The contact has not clicked or opened your mailings for at least 12 months.
- The contact has not received any communication or responded to any survey/event invitation from you in at least 12 months.
Can I delete contacts from my account to lower my subscription cost?
No. Inactive contacts can be cleared using our data management to delete personal data every 12, 18, or 24 months. Read more about data management here. You cannot delete inactive or outdated contacts earlier than 12 months based on any of the criteria mentioned above for becoming inactive.
I need to send a mailing larger than my allowed contact/sending limit. Can I temporarily increase my subscription?
