Dynamic value in confirmation email

  • Updated

All event email templates created by Ungapped, as well as our free standard event email templates, contain dynamic placeholders. These are there so that you don’t have to enter information about your event manually, such as the event name, event date and event venue.

Why is the dynamic vaule in the confirmation email needed?

There is a dynamic placeholder in the confirmation email, in the editor shown as [Event message]. This field automatically retrieves the right message text depending on the status of the participant: Accepted, Waitlist or Canceled.

To ensure the correct confirmation email is sent to each participant, the [Event message] field must be included.

This dynamic value tells the system which email to send based on the participant's status, such as:

  • Registration confirmation
  • Waitlist confirmation
  • Cancellation confirmation

If the [Event message] field is removed, the system cannot determine which confirmation email to send, and automated emails may not be delivered correctly.

Accidentally deleted the [Event message]? Read here how you can sort it out.

If you want to edit the text in the various confirmation emails, do so ‘outside’ the email, and not in edit mode. See image.
