Google Authenticator
The first time you log in to Ungapped after setting up Authenticator with us, you’ll be taken to an authenticator registration screen. This will create the entry in your chosen two-factor authentication (2FA) app. Scan the QR code or manually enter the key into your selected authenticator app, then enter the verification code.
Done!
In the future, you’ll find the temporary codes in the authenticator you chose and can use them to log in.
1. Download Google Authenticator from either the Apple App Store or Android Google Play Store. It’s free.
You can also use a different authenticator app if you prefer.
Set up Google Authenticator
Open your Google Account on your device – https://myaccount.google.com/
Tap Security at the top of the navigation panel.
Under "Signing in to Google", tap 2-Step Verification. You may need to sign in.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication (also known as 2-step verification) adds an extra layer of security to your account in case your password is compromised. Once enabled, you’ll log in using:
Something you know – like your password
Something you have – like your phone
To enable 2FA:
Go to your Google Account – https://myaccount.google.com/
Select Security from the navigation panel
Under “Signing in to Google”, select 2-Step Verification > Get started
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Is your account, username@gmail.com, connected to a workplace or school?
If you’re unable to enable two-step verification, please contact your IT administrator.
