Set the Sender -> choose from: Ungapped’s shared number, a name (should be your company’s or your own name), or a mobile number. Note: The sender must be between 3 and 11 characters (including spaces) and should not contain å, ä, or ö (this does not apply to mobile numbers as the sender).
-
Write your SMS in the white Message box (160 characters per SMS. Using more characters counts as multiple SMS messages). You can insert custom fields in the SMS and link to an active Ungapped survey.
5. Select the contact list(s) to send the SMS to under Recipients.
The contact list you choose must, of course, include mobile numbers!
6. Click on the Send a test - button if you want to send a test SMS. When you are done - press cancel to go back again.
Note: You will also be charged for test SMS messages.
7. When you're ready to send the SMS, click Next step: Estimate price
8. You can now check the estimated cost of the sms, and send your sms. Press and hold to send the sms to your list.
You will now see a confirmation page.
Previously bounced and unsubscribed SMS contacts are automatically removed, and you will see the correct number of contacts the SMS will be sent to under Actual SMS Recipients.
You’ll also see the total cost for the SMS. The cost of an SMS varies based on:
- Number of characters in the SMS
- Number of recipients
- The country code of the recipients' mobile numbers (see the full price list here)
- Whether the SMS contains any special characters, like emojis
- The current EUR exchange rate
- The length of any inserted fields, as this increases the character count of the SMS
Choose if you want to send the SMS immediately or schedule the SMS to be sent later.
If everything looks good, click the pink Press and hold to send button.
You can find the SMS send-out statistics under Sent.
